Governor Signs Bill to Expedite LA NFL Stadium
California Gov. Jerry Brown joined by labor leaders, local and state officials signs two bills at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the site of a proposed new NFL stadium on September 27, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Brown signed the bill with executives from Anschutz Entertainment Group, which is proposing to build a 72,000-seat football stadium next to the convention center. The bill would expedite resolution of any legal challenges to AEG's project, sending lawsuits over its environmental impact directly to the California Court of Appeal and bypassing the Superior Court.
