Foreclosures Protest in Los Angeles

Hundreds of demonstrators protest the failure of big banks to ``pay their fair share'' and declare a moratorium on foreclosures, outside the Bank of America Plaza in Los Angeles on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012. A landmark $25 billion settlement with the nation's top mortgage lenders was hailed by government officials Thursday as long-overdue relief for victims of foreclosure abuses. The settlement also ends a separate investigation into Bank of America and Countrywide for inflating appraisals of loans from 2003 through most of 2009. (Photos by Ringo H.W. Chiu)
