Los Angeles City Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck in a press conference on Monday, May 6, 2013, in Los Angeles, to announc that 1,172 firearms were collected during the 2013 Gun Buyback in this weekend, bringing the total number of firearms removed from City streets during the Villaraigosa administration to 11,151.
