Angelenoes get ready for the storm

Residents place sandbags to protect their home form mudslides on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Glendora, California. A storm out of the Pacific Northwest is bearing down on the Southland and expected to start making itself felt tonight. This weather system is threatening heavy rainfall, flash flooding, rivers of mud and debris in areas denuded by wildfire.  High surf and perilous rip currents along the coast and winds gusting at as much as 70 miles per hour.
