The Angels Flight Railway starts ferrying passengers up and down Bunker Hill in downtown Los Angeles on August 31, 2017. The historic Angels Flight railway billed as the world's shortest railway that carried Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling to the top of downtown Los Angeles in the movie "La La Land" is reopened to the general public after a ceremonial first ride by Mayor Eric Garcetti. The transit system will resume doing what it first did on New Year's Eve 1901, ferrying riders up and down the city's stunningly steep Bunker Hill. (Photo by Ringo Chiu)
